APPLICATIONS
Argotec film and sheet is engineered to perform in applications where typical vinyl films or rubber sheet lack polyurethane's record of successful peformance in rigorous environments and over significantly longer OEM product lives.
In applications that cannot tolerate failure, TPU is the logical choice. Following is a list of some common applications where polyurethane has proved a superior choice, providing the best properties of rubber and plastic without their inherent weaknesses:
Security Glazing:
Architectural/ballistic glass applications such as prisons, jails, banks, retail stores, government facilities, hurricane-force glazing; transportation applications such as spall shields, armored vehicles, public transit buses & trains, military and commercial aircraft windshields, automotive glazing, TPU/polycarbonate or PET combinations.
Weatherable Films:
Automotive OEM and aftermarket paint protection, military, graphic protection, abrasion-resistant films.
Textile Lamination:
Life jackets, diving vests, collapsible storage tanks, airplane slides, chemical protection apparel, scuba buoyancy compensators, rain wear, life rafts, performance sportswear, fuel and water containers.
Automotive:
Headliners, paint protection, acoustical insulation, lumbar supports, arm & head rests, security glazing, foamed-in-place seating.
Medical:
Elastic tapes, wound dressings, hospital mattresses & covers, pressure infuser bags, compression dressings, anti-shock trousers, slippers, ergonomic cold packs, transdermal patches, wheelchair pads.
Athletic Footwear:
Bladders, inserts, sock liners, mid-sole materials.
